SML Isuzu has announced a remarkable 27.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase in sales for February 2025, selling 1,288 units compared to 1,010 units in the same month last year.
Strong Performance Across Segments
- Cargo Vehicle Sales: The company recorded a 15.3% rise in cargo vehicle sales, with 468 units sold in February 2025, up from 406 units in February 2024.
- Passenger Vehicle Sales: Passenger vehicle sales surged by 35.8%, reaching 820 units in February 2025.
Year-to-Date Sales Performance
For the period from April 2024 to February 2025, SML Isuzu’s total sales stood at 11,906 units, reflecting a slight dip of 0.2% from 11,929 units sold during the same period last year.
Financial Performance and Market Reaction
Despite strong sales growth, the company reported an 80.2% decline in net profit, amounting to Rs 0.53 crore, alongside a 14.1% drop in net sales to Rs 331.80 crore in Q3 FY25 compared to Q3 FY24. As a result, the company’s stock price fell by 1.99%, closing at Rs 1,053 on Friday, February 28, 2025.
