Investor Shankar Sharma Acquires Rs 8.57 Crore Stake in Big Bloc Construction

Renowned investor Shankar Sharma has made a significant investment in Bigbloc Construction, purchasing 3.65 lakh shares, equivalent to a 0.51% stake in the company, at an average price of Rs 235 per share. This transaction amounts to a total investment of Rs 8.57 crore.

Bigbloc Construction specializes in the manufacture, sale, and marketing of AAC (Aerated Autoclaved Concrete) Blocks. With a 27.58% public shareholding, the company continues to attract investor interest, with other prominent stakeholders, including Nxt Fab Private and Nxt Polyester Private, holding stakes of 3.62% and 3.27%, respectively.

Headquartered in Surat and established in 2015, Bigbloc Construction is poised for growth and will announce its quarterly results on May 7.

Market Performance and Outlook

Following the investment by Shankar Sharma, shares of Bigbloc Construction surged by eight percent to Rs 268 on the NSE, reflecting investor confidence in the company’s prospects.

In other market news, Ind Swift Laboratories acquired a 0.71% stake in Dudigital Global by purchasing 5 lakh shares at Rs 80 per share. Dudigital Global specializes in providing VISA processing services to various embassies, and its stock witnessed a 3.63% increase to Rs 80 on the NSE.
